FIGHT NIGHT 2: SAN JOSE RETURNS TO TECH CU ARENA WITH A MASSIVE EVENT ON SATURDAY, DECEMBER 14
BAY AREA’S COMBAT SPORTS STARS DANIEL COMPTON, JESSICA ROSE-CLARK, AND BOBBY SERONIO III TAKE CENTER STAGE
SAN JOSE, CALIF. – The Bay Area’s premier mixed martial arts series, FIGHT NIGHT, is set to return to Tech CU Arena in San Jose, Calif. On Saturday, December 14, FIGHT NIGHT 2: SAN JOSE will host its sophomore event featuring California’s top talent, from up-and-coming prospects to seasoned veterans.
Headlining the talent-stacked FIGHT NIGHT 2: SAN JOSE card will be a middleweight three-round MMA showdown between Santa Cruz, Calif.’s Daniel Compton (9-3) and Joaquin Lopez (9-4). Last May, in front of the raucous Tech CU Arena crowd, Compton displayed his clinical striking arsenal against Charles Rodriguez, proving to be a tough outing for anyone in the middleweight division. Opposite Compton, Santa Rosa, Calif.’s Lopez enters this bout on the strength of seven victories coming by way of knockout, promising an action-packed main event.
The co-main event will see the highly touted undefeated Bellator veteran Bobby Seronio III (4-0) returning to action against Brazil’s Carlos Murta (3-2). Originally scheduled to fight each other this past May, Vallejo, Calif.’s Seronio III aims to remind the MMA community that he is still one of the most promising young stars in the sport as he competes in his first bout of 2024. Looking to insert himself back into the win column, Murta targets to steal Seronio III’s momentum on December 14.
One of the most recognizable names in the sport, Jessica-Rose Clark (6-0), has fought the upper echelon of talent in mixed martial arts. Earlier this year, Clark decided to take her talents to Muay Thai as she continues to display her striking expertise. In her last outing, Clark earned knockout of the night when she scored an emphatic first-round finish against Patti Lee. At FIGHT NIGHT 2: SAN JOSE, Clark will again compete in Muay Thai as she builds her claim to her first world title. Her opponent and the full fight card will be announced in the coming weeks.
In addition, fan-favorite knockout artist Desiree Wodicker (5-0) will compete in Muay Thai as she puts her perfect record on the line again. After a viral knockout victory in May when she impressively floored Stephanie Quigg, San Francisco’s Wodicker plans to deliver another career-defining performance. Her opponent will be announced in the coming weeks as well.
FIGHT NIGHT 2: SAN JOSE will also feature additional highly anticipated matchups with local talent, including Danville, Calif.’s Joseph Kropschot (5-3) taking on Mauricio Alonzo (13-8), while Hussain Bakhsh Safari (7-3) squares off against Mason Hartshom (4-1). Following an electric professional debut at Tech CU Arena this past May, when he scored a devastating first-round knockout over Jesse Lezama, San Francisco native Demetri Georgiades (1-0) will collide against Milpitas, Calif.’s Dupree Stewart (1-0).
“I am extremely proud of what we accomplished on the last show and excited to bring high-level combat sports back to the Bay Area once again,” said official spokesperson Gilbert Melendez. “Our uber-talented fight card will be headlined by Santa Cruz’s Daniel Compton, who had an amazing main event fight at our last event with nonstop action. On Saturday, December 14, Bobby Seronio III, a very talented young man who brings wrestling and his unique karate style to the table, will compete on our main card alongside surging Muay Thai competitor Jessica-Rose Clark. Working alongside Executive Producer Scott Coker and learning from one of the best fight promoters in the business has been an honor.”
The action-packed event will be held on December 14 at 5 p.m. PT, with preliminary card action beginning at 4 p.m. PT. Broadcast details will follow.
Tickets for the landmark event that is FIGHT NIGHT 2: SAN JOSE will go on sale beginning September 25 at 10 a.m. PT. More ticketing information can be found at Fightnightsanjose.com and TicketMaster.com. Additional matchups will be announced shortly.
