Accessibility Information
Tech CU Arena is accessible for all guests requiring ADA accommodations. Seating is available in various locations in the bowl and are all accessible by a wheelchair or walker.
Guests may purchase accessible seating in advance on a first-come, first-served basis by visiting Ticketmaster online at www.ticketmaster.com or by calling 800-745-3000 to speak to a ticketing attendant that can assist you in accommodating your seating needs on a first-come, first-serve basis. Guests may also purchase accessible seating by visiting the Tech CU Arena Ticket Office located near the West Entrance on 10th street. The Tech CU Arena Ticket Office is open only on event days, two hours before the start of each event. Advance sales are available on event days at the Tech CU Arena Ticket Office or through Ticketmaster.com.
Guests that attend an event with non-accessible seats and wish to sit in an accessible seat are accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis, based on availability, by visiting an Information Desk. Information Desks are located near the East Entrance at Section 101 or immediately inside the West Entrance.
Temporary Disabilities will be accommodated by providing the guest with accessible seating, subject to availability, at the closest available seating location in comparison to their original seat.
Wheelchair seating is manifested with a companion space adjacent to it. In the event a guest requests additional companion spaces, the additional seats will also be adjacent, subject to availability. If adjacent seats are not available, they will be in the closest proximity, subject to availability. Please note that Personal Care Attendants (PCAs) are required to purchase a ticket for any/all venue games/events.

Assistive Listening Devices
Assistive Listening Devices are available at no charge at the Information Desks. A driver's license, credit card, or some form of identification is required as a deposit.
ADA Mobility Assistance
Guests who need a manual wheelchair on the day of an event may request an escort when entering through either the East or West Entrance. They can also request an escort at one of the Information Desks. The escorts will assist guests to and from their seats before and after the event. Wheelchairs are in limited supply, subject to availability, and may not be rented or used for the length of the event.
Guests are permitted to store their mobility devices near their seats at their own risk if a space can be located that does not interfere with the path of travel for other guests in the event of an emergency.
Guests may also have their mobility device checked by an usher and returned to them at the end of the event. These check-in locations are available at the nearest Information Booth near section 101 on the West concourse or near section 110 on the East Entrance.
Tech CU Arena is not responsible for a guest’s personal mobility device that is not checked in.
Closed Captioning
For Barracuda games, closed captioning services are available within the Sharks + SAP Center App presented by Western Digital and on the center hung scoreboard. Guests will be able to select their text preferences within the app. Closed captioning is only available for home Barracuda games with the service starting 30 minutes prior to the game start time.
Concession Stands
Concession stands are accessible to guests with disabilities. Guests may request additional assistance from the nearest Guest Experience staff at any of the food service locations.
Elevators
Tech CU Arena has accessible elevators for guests with disabilities. Entrance level access elevators are available at the West Entrances with access to all floors. Elevators are also available from the Main Concourse to the Upper Concourse concessions and seating areas near Section 108.
Emergencies
Tech CU Arena has developed procedures for emergency preparedness, including the safe evacuation of all guests with disabilities and their companions. Tech CU Arena employees have been trained in the appropriate ways to evacuate guests with disabilities during an emergency.
Information Desks
Tech CU Arena Information Desks are located near Sections 101 and 110 on the Main Concourse. The Information Desk Attendants dispense Assistive Listening Devices and can assist with accessible seating accommodations.
Interpreting ServicesĀ
Guests who require interpreting or audio description services for events are encouraged to contact arrange interpreting services prior to purchasing their tickets. In the event you have purchased a ticket without making prior arrangements for interpreting or audio description services, please contact Tech CU Arena at guestexperience@techcuarena.com no later than four (4) weeks prior to the event day.
Parking/Drop-Off
ADA-accessible parking is available at Tech CU Arena’s parking lot near the west and east entrance. Standard parking rates apply. There are 9 marked ADA-accessible parking spaces on the west side and 14 marked ADA-accessible spaces on the east side entrance of the Tech CU arena. Availability is based on a first-come, first-served. To use the accessible parking spaces, Tech CU Arena requires guests with disabilities to possess and display state-issued disability plates or a disability parking placard. Tech CU Arena honors current disability plates and placards from all 50 States, the District of Columbia, as well as Canadian Provinces. Placards must be always displayed on the vehicle while parked.
Due to limited ADA-accessible spaces, we reserve additional courtesy parking for disabled guests. Standard parking rates apply ($15). Please show parking personnel ADA placard to gain admittance to the reserved overflow ADA spaces.
Tech CU Arena provides accessible drop-off/pick-up areas on the facility’s west or east side. Please inform the parking attendant you are doing a drop-off. Then you are required to exit. To re-enter the onsite parking lot, inform the attendant or police officer you are picking up your guest with a disability. We recommend the driver return 30 minutes earlier to avoid street closures following the conclusions of an event. Guest Experience staff will be happy to assist guests with disabilities entering and leaving the facility.

Radio Broadcasts
Guests attending the game with sight impairments that wish to listen to the game without a time delay can tune to the in-arena feed at 102.1FM.
Ramps
A wheelchair-accessible ramp is available at Tech CU Arena. The ramp is accessible from the drop-off area at the West Entrance curb.
Restrooms
All public restrooms are accessible to guests with disabilities. Family restrooms are located at section 110 and 114.
Segways
Due to safety concerns, Segway’s are not permitted inside Tech CU Arena. Guests may check-in their Segway and request a wheelchair escort to and from their seat location from the Guest Experience Staff at any entrance or Information Desk.
Sensory Kits
Sensory kits are available for fans of all ages with sensory needs are available at no charge at the Information Desks located on the SAP Center concourse near the North and South Entrances and also at Tech CU Arena Information booths on a first-come, first-serve basis. Kits include anti-glare glasses, a fidget toy, tissues, a mini coloring book, and more. Guests may re-enter with Sensory Kits to SAP Center and Tech CU Arena events by entering each venue through the lane marked “Extra Assistance” for inspection. Register for a Sensory Kit before arriving to an event.
Service AnimalsĀ
Guests with disabilities who are assisted by service animals attending events may bring their service animal with them. However, the animal must be harnessed, leashed, or always tethered. Service dogs “in-training” and comfort animals are not permitted in Tech CU Arena.
Due to tight seating arrangements and limited means of egress for large numbers of people at events, Tech CU Arena’s general policy does not permit miniature horses acting as service animals inside the building. However, this policy has flexibility, and requests for exceptions will be considered on an individual basis. Guests requesting accommodations for a miniature horse may contact the Senior Director of Guest Experience and Security at 408-287-7070 or guestexperience@techcuarena.com.
Sight Impaired/Low-Vision Seating
Tech CU Arena strives to provide an accessible venue for all guests and is pleased to offer seating for guests who are blind or have low vision. Designated seating for guests who are blind/low vision is based on the event’s layout. Tech CU Arena reserves the right to change these designated seating areas on an event-by-event basis. Blind/low vision seating is also sold on a first-come, first-served basis and is sold at the same prices as other seats in the designated seating sections. Guests who require blind/low vision seating for an event should contact Tech CU Arena’s Ticket Operations Department at 408-999-5720 as soon as possible after tickets have gone on sale.
Telephones
There are no public pay phones or courtesy phones available at Tech CU Arena. If you need a courtesy phone, please visit Sharks Ice at San Jose's front desk.

Need an assist from Guest Services at a Barracuda game? The Tech CU Arena Guest Services staff has the answer. Our Text Assist program is being used to support and enhance our efforts to provide a guest-friendly environment for our fans!
In order to enhance your experience at Tech CU Arena, we ask you to please assist us by simply sending a text message to Guest Services if you ever have an issue in your area or even a question about the Barracuda fan experience.
The Text Assist process is quick and simple and designed to provide you with an immediate response. Here’s how it works:

Guest Services will reply, monitor your situation and request additional information if needed.
The Text Assist program is designed to enhance the guest experience at Tech CU Arena. It is not to be used to communicate fraudulent, phony, or irrelevant messages. Mobile numbers that repeatedly send texts that are considered a nuisance will be prevented from communicating in the future.
